Where it started
Gloria Jean Kvetko opened the first Gloria Jean's store in Long Grove, Illinois in 1979, with a simple idea: coffee should taste wonderful and everyone should feel welcome drinking it.
Nearly fifty years later that idea has travelled to more than 600 stores across some forty countries. We still craft our own blends, we still train every barista to make your drink to order, and we still believe a coffee house should feel like somewhere you want to sit down.

In South Africa
Five stores,
two provinces
Gloria Jean's Coffees South Africa is operated from Durban, with stores across KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng: Oceans Mall and Gateway in Umhlanga, Florida Road and Point Waterfront in Durban, and Lakefield in Benoni.
Each store is run by people who live in the area, serving the international Gloria Jean's range alongside an all-day breakfast menu built for South African tastes.
